For my final project I took the opportunity to work with my creative side. I first thought of something I have been wanting to do, which was drawing. I then looked up things I would be interested in drawing. Since my passion is fashion, I decided to draw something in that field. I love the iconic bag “The Birkin Bag”. The Birkin bag is a line of tote bags by the French luxury goods maker, Hermès, that is handmade in leather and named after English actress and singer Jane Birkin. Introduced in the 1980s, the bag quickly became a symbol of wealth and exclusivity due to its high price and long waiting lists. It is impossible to get one of these bags. They are extremely expensive, and people have to wait for years to even get on the list to get one of these. I adore the iconic designer, Hermès, and wanted to express my love for them though drawing this bag. Once I found a picture of the Birkin bag that I liked, I printed it out. I then used a number two pencil to sketch the bag on to a sheet of paper. I also used a ruler to make sure that the lines on the bag were remotely straight but making sure that they are not perfect. I then wanted to make the bag pink because it is my favorite color. I took colored pencils and went through them all searching for the dark, light, and peachy shades of pink. On the ends of the bag I made it dark, and lighter in the middle. I loved drawing this and had so much fun. After I was done, I collected all the footage of me drawing the bag and put it into Premiere Rush. I edited the footage into the way I liked it. I then wanted a pretty introduction collage. So, this is what I did. I collected pictures of Pinterest. I then placed them into photoshop and created a collage and added text at the bottom. I then thought of an amazing idea to make a song in Adobe Audition. I did this with different sounds and published it in SoundCloud. I then took it and used it for the background sound in my video. I think this was a great way to tie together all 3 different concepts that we learned in class. Photoshop, Adobe Audition, and Premiere Rush are all great sources to create a well put together video. After completing my drawing, and my video with its final touches, I uploaded it to YouTube. I then used a 4^th source, which was WordPress. After uploading the video to YouTube, I copied the link and added it to WordPress. When I went to WordPress, I went to Pages, then Final. I uploaded my video to the Final tab, and I was complete, I had an extremely fun time taking the creative approach on this assignment. It definitely inspired me to want to draw more often.
